Our Salt
Salt is necessary to keep your water softener running while supplying your household with softened water 24 hours a day. The Minimax Innova requires Mini Curve Salt and the Minimax M3 works with block salt, both are a much more convenient form of salt – easy to carry and high quality.
The individual mini curve salt blocks weigh in at 2.15kg, with traditional blocks weighing 4kg each; compared compared to the heavy 25kg tablet salt bags, this means they are easier to load, carry and store.
- Mini Curve Block Salt, Block Salt, Tablet Salt or Granular Salt
- Suitable for various water softeners
- Block Salt is compact and lightweight compared to traditional salt
- High Quality Assurance
- Keeps you in 24/7 Softened Water

Why water softeners need salt
Once placed in the water softener, the salt slowly dissolves to create a brine solution in the base of the water softener. This brine solution is an important part the water softener’s regeneration or “cleaning” cycle.
When the resin in the water softener’s cylinder has reached its max capacity for capturing hard minerals, the brine solution enters the cylinder to clean the resin and it removes the hardness minerals from the cylinder.

What our customers say
I cannot understand why people in hard water areas do not invest in a water softener. In 14 years we have had no scale build up anywhere, we have never had to clean the shower head, and our central heating has never had to be drained down.
It’s a neat unit and installation was done by Vickery Water Softeners, who were knowledgeable, professional and expert at problem-solving when the need arose. We felt we were in safe hands!
We just had a Minimax M2 installed about 10 days ago after moving to the Reading area from South Wales. We really struggled with the hard water marking of sanitary ware and taps and the difference it made with detergents etc. It is probably one of the best items we’ve bought as it’s made such a difference.
